Managing Clients on ComplyPost
Client records are what letters get matched against — names, company numbers, and addresses all feed the matching. A tidy client list is the single biggest accuracy improvement you can make.
How do I add clients?
Three ways: create them manually, import a CSV of your client list, or scan your office address against Companies House and import every company registered there in bulk.
How does ComplyPost know which client a letter belongs to?
It reads company names, registered addresses, and reference numbers in the letter and matches them against your client records. Confident matches are queued for one-click confirmation; uncertain ones wait for your decision.
Does the matching get better over time?
Yes. Every confirmation teaches the matcher, so senders and reference formats you confirm once are matched automatically the next time they appear.
Can clients see their own post?
If you enable it. Each client can be given secure portal access where they view, search, and download their own processed correspondence — nothing from any other client.
What happens to letters for companies that are not clients?
They stay in your review queue unmatched. Nothing is delivered automatically without a confirmed match, so unexpected mail is a prompt to investigate, not a risk of misdelivery.
